Janice Williams

Janice is an international development expert with a decade of experience in capacity building, education, and program management in the U.S. and internationally. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a Master’s in Government and International Affairs and a Masters in Technology, Innovation and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She served in the U.S. Peace Corps from 2010-2012 in Niger as a Municipal Community Development agent and Guinea as Community Economic Development adviser focusing on Youth Workforce Development. Janice is also the founder of Sudu, an NGO focused on providing holistic, family-based care for orphan and displaced children in Sierra Leone, Co-founder of EduGo, an Edtech company and CEO of SalCreatives, a consulting firm.

Yanoh Jalloh

Yanoh is a public health professional with over seven years in the field. She holds an MPH from Icahn school of Medicine, her interests are international health, maternal health, and international development. Yanoh also lectures undergraduate courses in community health at New York Institute of Technology and teaches program planning and implementation courses with the organization, Professors Without Borders. She is currently a Senior Project Officer, at the Bureau of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control of the New York City Health Department.

Wiatta Thomas

Wiatta Thomas is the Co-Founder and CEO of AquaFarms Africa, and a youth employment and entrepreneurship expert, with 10 years of experience in building entrepreneurial ecosystems in West Africa.

A veteran entrepreneur and dedicated to promoting African autonomy and economic empowerment, Wiatta has launched several companies that provide solutions to obstacles that are most prevalent to African SMEs, such as access to financing and value chain services and has an extensive consulting résumé with organizations such as USAID, WorldBank, EU, ENABEL, FAO, & UNDP:

AquaFarms Africa (www.aquafarmsafrica.com), an agri-tech company combining aquaponics with social franchising to grow niche produce for high-end markets.

Dare to Innovate (www.daretoinnovate.com), an incubator promoting entrepreneurship as a solution to youth unemployment. Launched in 2013, Dare to Innovate has offices across Guinea, as well as Benin and Ghana, has trained over 10,000 youth and invested over $1M in 265 startups.

Tanya Phiri

Tanya is a youth development practitioner with over 10 years of experience developing innovative programmes that improve access to education, health, skills development, child rights and Entrepreneurship amassed through working with international NGOs, the private sector, governments, and the United Nations. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Statistics and a Master of Arts in Development Studies and her interest is in bridging the youth skill gap from school to work. Tanya recently was the Youth Innovation Specialist -Consultant with UNICEF Sierra Leone for two years.
